Australian Auto-Sport Alliance Pty Ltd (AASA), these supplementary regulations, and any further regulations and bulletins which may be issued. By entering this event, you agree to comply with these regulations. EVENT: WIDE BAY MOTOR COMPLEX KHANACROSS Rnd 1 DATE(S): 13/03/2021 VENUE: WIDE BAY MOTOR COMPLEX 271 Maryborough- Cooloola rd Maryborough Event will be held on dirt / gravel surface consisting of a minimum of 4 tests, max distance of each will be 2km. To be run in a clockwise direction for 2 laps then ran in reverse direction for 2 laps at directors’ discretion. A slow speed orientation lap of each test will be allowed in convoy. Anyone failing to attend must present to the Clerk of Course or risk exclusion from the event. Please see section 8 for details of track activities. All track activity will cease at 4.00 1. ENTRIES 1.1. Entries are now open and will close on 10/03/2021. The promoters reserve the right to cancel, postpone, alter or abandon event without assigning a reason. ENTRY FEE 2.1 The entry is $50.00 FOR SENIORS $ 35.00 FOR JUNIORS, Entries will be limited to 35 starters 2.2 Payment will be accepted by DIRECT DEPOSIT only. 3. INSURANCE 3.1 Personal Accident insurance is provided under the AASA permit. Details can be found at www.aasa.com.au 4. DRIVER APPAREL 4.1 Driver’s apparel shall be as specified in AASA Appendix 4 Apparel Requirements for Speed Events – Club 5. VEHICLE AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 5.1 Vehicles must comply with the AASA NCR’s and the AASA Event Operations Manual. 5.2 Vehicles must be competition ready with all loose items removed from the vehicle. 6. SCRUTINY 6.1 Scrutiny will begin at 8.30 6.2 Vehicles entered in the competition must have passed scrutiny prior to participating in any track activities Scrutiny will be as per section 9 of the AASA Event Operations Manual. 6.3 Current competition licences and full driving apparel must be presented at scrutiny. If your vehicle has been issued with a Vehicle Passport, this must be presented at Scrutiny as well. Vehicles which suffer damage must be re-examined before entering the track again. 7. PASSENGERS 7.1 Passengers will be allowed (apparel to drivers standard as per Section 4 and a signed disclaimer), all juniors 12 -14 years must have suitably licensed passenger. 8. EVENT FORMAT 8.1 event will consist of a minimum of 4 tests to be run in a forward and reverse direction twice each. A slow orientation lap will be allowed in convoy. 8.2 classes will be: A - front wheel drive B - rear wheel drive C - 4wd D - junior 12-14 E - junior 14- 17 8.7 Juniors driving 4wd vehicles will not be eligible for championship points. 8.8 Trophies for 1st 2nd 3rd in each class 8.9 Must be 2 or more in class for trophy to be awarded 8.10 championship point score for junior classes only will be 1st 10 points to 10th 1 point 8.11 Timing will be via stopwatch 8.12 Timing will be to the 10th of a second 8.13 Timing starts when the vehicle wheels begin to turn 8.14 Timing stops when front of vehicle enters finish garage 8.15 Penalty for touching a garage or course marker +5 seconds/marker 8.16 Penalty for finishing test part way out of garage +10 seconds 8.17 Penalty for incomplete test, finishing completely outside of garage or wrong direction- slowest time in class plus 5 seconds. 8.18 The driver must start each test with the entire vehicle inside the start/finish garage (3m x 8m with markers). 8.19 The driver must finish each test with the entire vehicle stopped inside the start/finish garage 8.20 The driver must complete each test in a forward direction. 8.21 Course and garage markers shall be traffic cones, tyres or bollards. 8.22 The winner of each round will be the driver with the lowest cumulative time across all tests. 8.23 Event officials will be deemed judges of fact and no correspondence will be entered into. 9. FACILITIES 9.1 On site camping is allowed, food on sale by Craignish Scouts for lunch only on the day of event, toilets and showers are available, quiet time/lights out at 11.00 pm 10. NOISE 10.1 The maximum noise limit is 95db measured at 30 metres. 10.2 Noise testing may take place at any time at the discretion of the Chief Scrutineer or the Clerk of Course. Any car found to exceed the maximum noise emission limit will be suspended from the event until the Chief Scrutineer/Clerk of Course is satisfied that action has been taken to bring it within the limit. Any vehicle that exceeds the limit on two runs will be excluded from the remainder of the event. If a vehicle exceeds the noise limit on any lap or laps within a run, then only those laps in which the vehicle conformed to the requirements will be allowed for the purpose of the results. 11. SMOKING 11.1 Smoking in the pit areas is prohibited. Smoking areas will marked out 12. DRUGS & ALCOHOL 12.1 Consumption of alcoholic liquor by drivers or pit crew is forbidden prior to the completion of the meeting in accordance with Schedule 3 of the NCRs. All drivers must have a BAC below 0.01. 13. DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING 13.1 All competitors and officials are advised that random drug and alcohol testing may take place during the competition. 13.2 Any driver or crew member being found to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs during the event will be excluded from the event, and further penalties may be imposed in accordance with the NCRs. 14. FUEL 14.1 Pump fuel only may be used, Fuel can only be stored in 20 litre fuel drums or containers that meet AS1940/AS/NZS2906 or higher in order to comply with OH&S requirements and the Dangerous Goods Act 1985. There is a maximum of 2 x 20 litre containers per bay at any one time. 14.2 Refuelling may take place outside of garages. All drivers, crew, and passengers must be outside of the vehicles while refueling. A crew member should be on stand-by holding a fire extinguisher during the refueling process. 15. PROTESTS 15.1 Any protest must be lodged with the Clerk of Course in accordance with the NCR’s. 16. OTHER REGULATIONS ALL VEHICLES; 1[ As some events will be twilight events a minimum of 2 forward facing lights must be fitted to the vehicle and 1 red rear facing light must be fitted. 2[ Race numbers will be supplied to competitors. 3[ Any vehicle that is damaged in an accident or modified after scrutineering must be re-scrutineered prior to further competition. 4[ All vehicles to have a fire extinguisher of at least 1kg capacity, which complies to AS 1841 using a metal mounting bracket and must be securely bolted to floor or transmission tunnel. Extinguisher(s) must be within 3 years of the manufacturers date stamped on the neck or base. 5[ Be mechanically sound with no fluid leaks, have functioning brakes on all 4 wheels and have correctly operating steering and suspension. 6[ Seats must be mounted securely with correct bolts 8 mm 8.8 tensile strength. 7[ Be structurally sound (no structure rust or damage). 8[ Be fitted with lap-sash seat belts of AS E35 or approved race harnesses. Belts/ harnesses must attach to factory mounting points or approved anchor points using correct eye bolts. 9[ Have on the body work a blue triangle of sides 150 mm indicating position of battery. 10[ Have the positive battery terminal covered with suitable insulating material to prevent short circuit. 11[ Have the battery well secured and where a wet battery is fitted inside the cabin, be mounted in a sealed enclosure with an external vent. 12[ Have sealed fire wall/s separating the engine/fuel tank/pumps and filters from the passenger compartment. 13[ Have no sharp or hazardous protrusions within the passenger compartment. 14[ Bonnets to be fitted with at least 2 independent fastening systems which hold the bonnet closed. (OEM latch & catch or 2 bonnet pins are acceptable). 15[ A solid towing point must be fitted both front and rear of vehicle if tow point is obscured it shall be marked with a red triangle and the word TOW in a contrasting colour. 16[ Drivers side window must be wound up or the use of a window net is recommended. 17[ Roll over protection is not mandatory but highly recommended. If fitted must be to AASA/MA standard or approved by event scrutineer. 18[ Frontal head restraints (HANS DEVICE) are not mandatory but highly recommended. COVID 19 DECLARATION AND RESTRICTIONS. A COVID-19 Venue Plan has been developed by the Wide Bay Motor Complex for this event and it will be implemented and enforced by the COVID official onsite. The plan is designed to always keep all participants in the event safe. All participants, competitors, supporters and officials will be required to sign the COVID-19 declaration on arrival at the venue, providing their full name, address and contact telephone numbers. While on site, all participants must comply with the safety signage placed around the venue and must practice good hygiene practices in accordance with the guidelines outlined in these signs. DO NOT ATTEND THIS EVENT IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY TO YOU; Experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat or lack of smell. Have travelled overseas in the past 14 days.
