Speedie Contractors now a major sponsor of WBMC

With corporate sponsorship being difficult to get even in good economic times, the WBMC management committee were thrilled to receive a major donation by Speedie Contractors. Speedie is our newest Gold Foundation Member (Business).

A family owned operation that has been in business for almost 60 years, Speedie specialises in the cartage of bitumen products throughout QLD and NSW.  With a large fleet comprising some 15 tippers, including 5 tandems, seven 8-wheelers, a 10-wheeler and two semi-trailer live bottoms, together with 17 prime movers carting bulk bitumen in singles , B.Doubles and Road trains in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA.

"We think the WBMC concept is great and we are glad to be in a position to help", said Speedie CEO Simon Knowles. Mr Knowles has been a motor sport enthusiast for many years, having won the Pacific Cup in the Asia Pacific championship in 2013.

WBMC President Ben Collingwood welcomed Speedie's involvement in the project, saying that "It is exciting to have the confidence of a company like Speedie and we look forward to working closely with them during the construction phase of the motor sport complex".
